Over the weekend I was cleaning out a filing cabinet and found some certificates documents and sketches.
It made me realise that, I know what I love, no matter what the trends or fashions are.
It's a question that I ask all wedding couples during our design process. Do you love that colour? Or only choosing it because it's on trend?
My advice here is always, choose what you love because you will be looking at the flowers and colours in the wedding photos for life.
It's at this point a light bulb goes off and they wonder why they were going down the 'theme' direction they were.
Prime example above. My logo from 22 years ago compared to my logo re-design from August 2018.
I know what I love and stick to it because I know my vision, never doubt my choices.
I feel this is a great quality to have when helping wedding couples. I don't tell them what they want. I get them to realise their vision.
Once I helped a couple realise that they didn't want any flowers. They were only doing it because that is what they thought they had to do.
Some out there will think that is not being a good at sales. I think not. A year later this couple recommended me to a friend that turned into a sale in the thousands.
I'm not into a quick buck. I've been building my brand since I was 16. My vision is long term.
