Last Thursday was our first Market Day.
I was a little nervous because I've never organised an event like this before but am pleased to say, it was a success.
There are already 4 businesses booked to attend the March Market Day which will be held on Thursday the 28th, 10.30am till 2.30pm.
First booked and paid get a spot due to high demand. Wow, I can't believe I am saying that.
Last Thursday the heat outside was unbearable and I think this may have deterred many shoppers, but surprisingly we had a steady stream all day.
The warehouse stayed cool with the air conditioning on upstairs in the Bloom Room and a huge industrial fan downstairs.
I am looking forward to it becoming cooler though so we can have the roller door open.
The success of this event was due to the stall holders sharing and inviting everyone in their networks. They did a great job and it was nice to see them making new connections.
We all enjoyed the samples, especially Nedda from Abonne and her hydration drink.
It's such a great opportunity to try before you buy, while shopping local.
Monique from Sundew therapies, was giving many their first introduction to reflexology, with amazing results.
Vintage and Gingham informed me they moved 150 patchwork fabric fat 1/4's in their de-stash.
To me it appeared that it hadn't even made a dent in the fabric boxes. I'm looking forward to seeing what fabric she brings along next Market Day.
Lee from Postie had a sale rack with great bargains, and Kaye has got me hooked on her 'magic' ASEA Redox gel.
I actually haven't caught up with Heather yet after the event, asking how she found the Market. I do know from overhearing thought, that she made a party booking and some lucky customers had received some 1/2 price items and a free singlet.

Market Day at Flowers by Cassy will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month.
It's an opportunity for small business, direct marketers and networkers to showcase their hand made items, crafts, products and services in my floral studio.
It's relaxed networking in a market 'pop up' style.
You don't have to get up and make a pitch or sell yourself.
There is plenty of time to mingle, and invite all your contacts to come and see you.
No more meeting customers at home or a cafe. Maybe have a 'pop up' monthly to get business done.
The 'bloom room' is free for stall holders to meet clients or co-work at the tables.
The studio is where the shopping will happen.
It's on a weekday and a school friendly time has been especially selected. I want parents of school age children to be able to either shop or sell their products easily.
Stalls available for $25, capped at 10 vendors only.
